Amplicate - Make Your Opinions Count

I have just discovered today http://www.amplicate.com

It's a Web 2.0 site. It's a place where you can express your opinion as to why "This Topic" Rocks or why "This Topic" Sucks.

For example, if you have an opinion about American Idol, use the search term to find all rock or suck pages related to American Idol. Or simply type, American Idol (Season 2) to the What you love or what you hate box, as the case maybe.

Or, you can create your own "This rocks" or "this sucks" topic if no such topic has been created yet.

I shall be testing this Web 2.0 site during the next few days in order to see where it fits in the over-all social media marketing and/or branding scheme.

You can sign in to this site using your Twitter or Facebook accounts. Once you have posted an opinion, you also have the option to Twit it or publish it in your Facebook news feed.

No End In the Writing of Books

The Bible says that there shall be no end to the writing of books. Corollary to this is the fact that no person can read every possible book out there and read each as well as Mortimer Adler would prescribe. But deciding to read and choosing one good book now and thereafter, that makes a difference.

Now, what if more people will read books like HUMAN ACTION, would it be possible that more people in this God-saken country will understand the futility of statist FALLACIES/POLICIES and ideas?

Starting Anew With Twitter

I just created a new Twitter Account. I want to start fresh, with virtually following no one.

If you like to follow me on that one account, here's the address: http://twitter.com/elevicpernis

My Twits can also be viewed in PDF format. If you want it in PDF format, click here: http://xfruits.com/elevicpernis/?id=93876

Teaching Capitalism in Our Schools

This is a video shared by a fellow Libertarian Joven Morales. The ABC feature video asserts how teaching capitalism in schools can make the lesson content more relevant.

I agree.

Since any government no matter how sincere is incapable of uplifting the lives of the masses, I think this is an effective way to combat poverty. Teach the kids to be capitalists. Establish businesses. Don't be beggars of government welfare.

Will Revamp My Personal Blogs

My blogs need some planning. That included having a proper site site structure and link networks. I'll switch to a new place soon.

Share: Hayek as Cognitive Scientist + Hayek vs Keynes

I have always known F.A Hayek as a great economist and successful pupil of Ludwig von Mises, but I have never heard up until today that he also has a cognitive theory. I just want to share this Power Point Presentation: HAYEK: COGNITIVE SCIENTIST AVANT LA LETTRE

I also found 3 interesting Power Point Presentations here: V I S I O N S   A N D   F R A M E W O R K S   I N   M A C R O E C O N O M I C S

The first presents Keynesian Economics: Keynesian Circular-Flow Analysis

The second presents Hayek's Economics: Hayekian Means-Ends Analysis

The third contrasts the two side-by-side: Comparative Macroeconomic Frameworks

This would be pretty useful for people who want to understand the economy, how people view the economy, or simply a refresher of these concepts.

It's Not Cool to be Frugal...

AT least for me. The word frugal implies being a miser. I prefer a better term: economical. IT implies wise use of finances while beign well off.

Btw, my purpose for writing this short post is to share a cool term I found from Investopedia...term of the day

Frugalista

What Does it Mean?
People who keep up with fashion trends without spending a lot of money. Frugalistas stay fashionable by shopping through alternative outlets, such as online auctions, secondhand stores and classified ads. They also reduce the amount of money spent in other areas of their lives, such as by growing their own food and reducing entertainment expenses. This is a popular term during recessions.

Rare Photos of Manny Villar When He Was Poor - A Parody

Disclaimer: I do not own the images nor did I made them. I just want to share them because it is a comic relief.

Taken from http://pinoyexchange.com/forums/showthread.php?t=423330

P.S. I considered voting for Villar before, but I will not.

P.P.S. It is not because I fear that he will plunder this nation, nor because I distrust businesspeople.

P.P.P.S. I view it in light of Hayek's Knowledge Problem.

P.P.P.P.S. He claimed that because he had a successful experience in business, he could do the same in government.

P.P.P.P.P.S. Nothing could be further from the truth. A person no matter how intelligent he is cannot run the economy efficiently. The task of resource allocation and capital formation must be left to private hands and the free-market.

P.P.P.P.P.P.S. He claimed that he will promote entrepreneurship. DUH! Entrepreneurs and governments are always at odds with each other. Sen. Villar will have a better job doing that when he returns to the private sector. Also, the best way to promote entrepreneurship is to repeal the socialistic and pro-labor provisions in our laws and Constitution.
